Natural Inspiration: The Plumeria’s Gentle Poetry
The cool silver evokes moonlight and morning dew, representing calmness and purity.
The warm gold echoes sunlight and golden afternoons, symbolizing warmth and vitality.
It all began in the summer of 2018, when our lead designer, Elena Voss, traveled to the island of Bali to recover from a busy season in Paris. One morning, while walking along the black-sand beaches of Seminyak, she found herself surrounded by fallen plumeria blossoms—their five-petaled forms scattered like starlight across the warm sand. A local elder told her, “The plumeria does not cling to the branch; it falls gently, full of grace, to remind us that beauty exists in letting go.”
Each petal was hand-sketched to match the exact curvature of a fresh plumeria, with subtle tapering at the edges to mimic the softness of real flower tissue.
The two-tone finish was born from her memory of Bali’s dawn: the cool, silvery glow of the moon lingering on the ocean, and the warm, golden light of the rising sun spilling over the rice terraces. She chose a solid silver base for its purity and hypoallergenic properties, then layered 18K gold plating on select petals to create that luminous contrast.
The hoop structure was carefully engineered to sit snugly against the ear, like a delicate wreath holding the blossoms in place—so the wearer could feel the weight of the flower, but never the burden of heavy jewelry.
In Bali and Southeast Asia, it’s a symbol of purity, devotion, and new beginnings—often used in wedding ceremonies and religious offerings to welcome positive energy.
In Hawaii, it’s strung into leis to represent love and friendship, given as a gift to say “aloha” (hello or goodbye).
In Victorian floriography, the five-petaled plumeria stood for “perfect love” and “unspoken affection.”
For the woman navigating a busy career, they’re a reminder to slow down and find grace in the chaos.
For the traveler, they’re a piece of Bali’s warmth to carry wherever she goes.
For the lover, they’re a silent declaration of gentle, enduring affection.
