These earrings draw inspiration from the raw texture of hand-hammered metal and the clean lines of modern geometric aesthetics, creating a dialogue between artisanal warmth and contemporary minimalism.
Hammered Texture: The uneven, rippled surface mimics the organic patterns of natural rock or flowing water, capturing the tactile warmth of hand-forging. Each indentation is a testament to craftsmanship, infusing the cool metal with a sense of life and movement.
Two-Tone Contrast: The split-color silver and gold design embodies the balance between light and shadow, or the harmony of rationality and emotion. This dual-tone palette adds depth and visual interest, catching light to create a dynamic, layered effect with every turn of the head.
Geometric Layering: The three staggered rectangular plates pay homage to Bauhaus principles of functional simplicity. Their crisp, linear form and vertical drape lend a sleek, urban edge—versatile enough for everyday wear yet bold enough to elevate evening attire.
Timeless Modernism: Rooted in the spirit of 1970s modernist jewelry, the design celebrates material authenticity and handcrafted detail while adapting to contemporary tastes, resulting in a timeless accessory that bridges vintage craft and modern style.
In 1972, Serena Moretti, a female silversmith born into a traditional European jewelry artisan family in Florence, Italy, had devoted more than ten years to handmade European silver jewelry. At that time, mass-produced machine-made jewelry swept across the European market. Those homogeneous, cold accessories abandoned ancient hand-forging crafts, losing the unique texture and humanistic warmth of precious metal jewelry, which made Serena deeply regretful.
Growing up in a jewelry family, she learned classical European metal forging crafts dating back to the Renaissance from her parents, mastering three vintage techniques: sterling silver shaping, hand hammer texture forging and precious metal two-tone coloring. She traveled around old Florence town, the Alps and the Mediterranean coast for inspiration, drawing creative ideas from mountain stone textures, wave lines and morning-dusk light shades. She was obsessed with natural hammered texture forged by manual knocking, and fascinated by the layered gloss of silver and gold two-tone fusion. She determined to create light luxury silver jewelry combining vintage European craftsmanship and modern minimalist aesthetics.
In 1976, Serena founded an independent handmade silver jewelry workshop beside the Arno River in Florence. The brand sticks to traditional European handmade standards: refusing machine stamping mass production, every texture is forged manually by professional craftsmen; adopting original in-furnace two-tone craft instead of ordinary electroplating, to avoid color fading and realize natural high-grade silver-gold color contrast; abandoning complicated carvings, adopting neat geometric lines to fit modern urban dressing styles.
At the early stage, the workshop customized exclusive earrings and necklaces for European celebrities and art workers. It gained great popularity in Florence art circle for delicate hammered texture, premium two-tone craft and versatile minimalist design. With over 50 years of development, the brand is still rooted in Florence, Italy, retaining complete European handmade forging procedures, and adhering to the core philosophy: Stay true to natural texture, highlight feminine unique temperament.
